We aimed for our typical audience members to be British teenagers around the age of 16-24 because these are the main ages of people who visit the cinema frequently. Our group received a lot of audience feedback from people this age about our opening sequence and I interviewed one girl, to ask her questions about her lifestyle, current favorites and general life. Here is a slideshow with everything she has shown and told me.
This is an audience profile of a member of our primary audience for our film, who are females aged 16-24, however we have also considered secondary audiences that may be attracted to our film.
These include:
1. Males, aged 16-24 because they may relate to other male characters within the film or the lifestyle of characters within the film with people going to parties, drinking alcohol and generally part of the type of British youth culture featured in our opening sequence.
2. An older audience: mainly parents, who want to learn about the kind of things their children might be up to, want to remember what it was like when they were young or just like the thought of a gritty film that is not too cheesy and very realistic of British society.
Our primary and secondary audiences would be targeted mainly through online marketting and videos released on youtube to generate a 'buzz' around the film, because our target audience are familiar with current technology, use computers alot and are immersed in all the new technology being released. Our film would also be released at first on a national level, because the film revolves around teenage British culture, so globally not everyone will be able to relate to it, however it would also be released globally later on.
