- Beginning - At a party, someone is sold dodgy drugs and reacts badly. It's clear that a mysterious girl did it for the purposes of revenge - as she smiles to herself after watching it happen.
- Middle - This triggers a cruel revenge trend around her school, in which many students begin settling scores in a mean manner. When a shy boy posts on his blog what he plans to do to an innocent girl who turned him down romantically, the police catch wind of what is happening.
- End - Meanwhile at school, people are beginning to get tired of this. The whole school agree to stop the behavior in an emotional apology that leaves some students in tears. However, as everyone is striding out of school with a weight off their shoulders, armed police pull up outside surrounding the students. Anyone taking part in the revenge trend is arrested.
Our film in terms of Todorov's Narrative Theory:
Equilibrium: The school community is normal, no attempts to hurt others for vengeful purposes.
Disruption: Our main character cuts MD with something dodgy, causing our victim much damage. The whole school decides to follow in her footsteps, which wreaks havoc among the students.
Attempts to repair/ Resolution: All the students agree that they have gone too far.
New Equilibrium: We have decided to include genre conventions of black comedy in this case, by not actually including a new equilibrium. In fact, the students are ambushed by the police, which adds humor.
We thought this fit the genre better than our previous ideas.
We also began thinking about the title of our film, although haven't come to a decision yet.
From now on our posts will be more structured, instead of just Meeting Minutes.
